Rangers fire in 8 point letter of complaint to SFA as Ibrox giants slam Kevin Clancy’s Aberdeen performance

The Scottish champions held talks with the governing body over the performance from the man in the middle against Aberdeen. The discussions are said to have been constructive.Ryan Kent was sent off in the match for two bookings and manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst said post-match the red card was unjust.
Now Sky Sports have reported Rangers took issue with Clancy over that incident and a further seven.Another flashpoint the club highlighted was simulation from Aberdeen captain Scott Brown, with the Ibrox side feeling he should have been cautioned.The Glasgow giants have also drawn the SFA’s attention to Lewis Ferguson’s penalty.
The Dons star grabbed an equaliser from the penalty spot for the home side but it should have been retaken as the ball moved before he struck it due to the strong north east wind.But they weren’t done there, with the letter also highlighting Borna Barisic, who was left with a bloody nose after being caught by a flailing Jonny Hayes elbow.Stephen Glass was also unhappy with Clancy for failing to award the Reds a penalty after Allan McGregor upended Ryan Hedges after the Rangers goalkeeper raced from his box.Van Bronckhorst said of Kent’s sending off: "If I look back, the second yellow is very harsh.“Ryan tries to block the ball, I don’t think he caught the player at speed or really hard.”He also called for the introduction of VAR, saying: "You know, if you don't have VAR, the decision made by the referee is the decision that counts."It's not the first time Rangers have taken issue with a referee after making a formal complaint about Willie Collum just over
