Kenny Miller insists there’s nobody Rangers would want in goal against Celtic more than Allan McGregor as he defended the veteran keeper over his Dingwall disaster.

McGregor dropped two clangers in an uncharacteristically sloppy performance as Rangers drew 3-3 with Ross County on Saturday.It led to question marks over his position for the visit to Celtic Park in Wednesday’s crunch Old Firm where the Hoops can jump Rangers into top spot with a victory.McGregor turns 40 on Monday and with back-up Jon McLaughlin having signed a new deal at the weekend some sections of the Gers support have called for a change between the sticks.

But Miller reckons his former Ibrox and Scotland team mate McGregor’s big game presence will come to the fore again in the derby.He said: "Come Wednesday night, there is nobody you’d want in goal other than Allan McGregor."Like Andy Goram was back in the 90s, he is the one when it's come to these big saves.
