Rangers will take confidence after it was revealed Eintracht Frankfurt smashed a 57-year-old record this season...for their worst series of home results.

The Germans have been in stunning form in the Europa League, where they meet Rangers next week in the final, after defeating Barcelona in the Nou Camp and West Ham United home and away.

However, they currently sit in a dismal 12th place in the Bundesliga with just one game to go - a local derby at Mainz on Saturday. But despite the reputation of their fanatical supporters, Eintracht have suffered their worst season since 1964/65 in terms of their home record at their 97-year-old Waldstadion ground.Eintracht won just four of their 17 league games at home this season making it their worst campaign at home since only the second season of the Bundesliga.Only three clubs in the German top flight had a worse home record and Stuttgart, Arminia Bielefeld and Greuther Fuerth sit in the bottom three spots of the Bundesliga. The club's manager Oliver Glasner admitted: "This point haul is not at all satisfactory for us.

We want to be a force at home and win games next season."This season, we struggled to find a solution against teams who sat deep against us." Despite their unwanted record, Eintracht Frankfurt's record appearance holder Charly Korbel is convinced they will be celebrating winning a second European trophy...42 years after he won the same trophy.
