Andy Halliday says he 'doesn't like' Philippe Clement's eyebrow-raising comments about Celtic and Spurs being in a 'different league' to them financially - because even saying that plants doubts in his own players' heads.

The Ibrox boss watched his side pick up a 3-0 win at Ross County on Sunday and, speaking after the game, he previewed the box office double-header which will see them host Ange Postecoglou's team on Thursday before the League Cup Final at Hampden next weekend.

He said it was two games against teams 'in a different league' financially - comments which were immediately taken apart on the Sky Sports broadcast by James McFadden.

The comments split opinion among Rangers fans online, some feeling he was fair enough in his assessment while others took it as getting his excuses in early and waving a white flag before a ball is even kicked, particularly where their city rivals are concerned.
