Rangers boss Giovanni Van Bronckhorst says Alex Lowry is one of the Ibrox club's most promising talents.The teenager - who hails from Uddingston and attended Motherwell's Braidhurst high school - rose from the bench and scored on his Rangers debut during Friday's 4-0 win over Stirling Albion.A trip to Annan Athletic now awaits the Premiership champions in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup after Friday's victory.Lowry has played for the club's Lowland League 'B' team this season and has now stepped up to senior level.Van Bronckhorst was brought up in the prestigious Feyenoord academy in Holland and believes the system which has produced Lowry can get him to a top level.He told the Scottish Sun: "We had the chance to get Alex into the game and I was satisfied with how he played.

I'm happy he made his debut and I'm looking forward to working with him in the future."I think he is one of the big talents in the academy so it's good to give him his chance.

I have seen Alex in training over the last few weeks and you could see his qualities."He has many things to improve on, but I think he is a really good player.

You could see he was enjoying the game and he wasn't really nervous."His goal was very composed and it shows good ability to counter attack and he passed the ball into the net.
