Steven George Gerrard MBE (born 30 May 1980) is an English professional football manager and former player who manages Scottish Premiership club Rangers.
He spent the majority of his playing career as a central midfielder for Liverpool, with most of that time spent as club captain, as well as captaining the England national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time,
Gerrard was awarded the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year award in 2005, and the Ballon d'Or Bronze Award. In 2009, Zinedine Zidane and Pelé said that they considered Gerrard to be the best footballer in the world.
England 's best right-back in Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 22-year-old was not included in the latest Three Lions squad due to his poor form for Liverpool this season.
The full-back - as well as others - has struggled in a makeshift defence with a makeshift midfield in front due to the injury crisis at the club.
Alexander-Arnold has been one of the Premier League's best and attack-minded defenders in recent seasons, winning the Champions League and Premier League with Liverpool consecutively.
But his reputation has failed to gain him a place for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against San Marino, Albania and Poland, with Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker selected ahead of him.
