Champions League have been met with fierce opposition down south after English Premier League clubs reportedly said no to the new proposals.UEFA have outlined their blueprint to raise the number of teams participating to 36 from 32, with participating clubs being put into one expanded league table and the number of group stage games raised from six to 10.
That has led to objections from the top flight in England, according to the Daily Mail, amid fears it would reduce broadcast revenue to sides not in the competition while also making the League Cup unviable due to fixture congestion, a competition worth almost £100million to the Football League.
