Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

A teenager and a second young man have been treated in hospital after being injured during a ‘rammy’ in West Lothian.Police were called to the scene in the Mill Court area of Bathgate at around 3am on Saturday, January 22.

Officers investigating the reported disturbance have now arrested four people in connection - including the two injured men, aged 16 and 22.

They have since been released from hospital.Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing, Police Scotland have confirmed.A force spokesperson said: “We were called around 3am on Saturday, 22 January, to a report of a disturbance in the Mill Court area Bathgate.“Officers attended and four men, aged 22, 21, 20 and 16 have been arrested in connection with the incident.“The 16-year-old and the 22-year-old were taken to hospital and released after treatment.“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here .
