Paul Pogba is at risk of further disrupting the squad at Manchester United if he does effectively play to earn a move elsewhere with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Speculation over the World Cup winner and his Premier League future remains at fever pitch as he has yet to pen extended terms with the club.
United are facing up to the prospect of losing Pogba on a free transfer for the second time next summer. However, as the 28-year-old continues his comeback from a thigh injury, interim manager Ralf Rangnick identified the Frenchman as a key player this season; despite conceding that Pogba might use any game-time to put himself in the shop window.
If that proves to be the case, it has been warned there could be a knock-on impact. Speaking to Talk of the Devils website, ex-United man Sammy McIlroy said: "I have to admit I'm a bit confused by the Pogba situation, hearing Rangnick come out and say that he will still play a big part.
