Ralf Rangnick believes Manchester United still need to improve when in possession of the ball despite beating West Ham on Saturday afternoon.

United climbed up to fourth in the table thanks to a dramatic late winner from Marcus Rashford to secure three precious points and their second win of the week.

It marked the first time United have won back-to-back matches under the interim manager, but Rangnick wasn't totally satisfied with the overall performance.

While the German manager was pleased to see another solid performance, he demanded an improvement from his side in regards to how they use the ball. “Well defensively I would say yes, because from normal play we didn’t allow them too many chances," Rangnick told MUTV. “And as I said, it was not easy against them, they are a very physical team. “But I am still not quite happy with the way that we play in possession of the ball, so this will have to be the next steps in the next couple of weeks that we also find better solutions in possession of the ball.”
