Raheem Sterling was reportedly open to a loan move to Barcelona this month as speculation continues over his future. The England international revealed earlier this season that he was open to leaving the Etihad in order to pursue regular playing time, with Jack Grealish’s arrival making his chances more limited.
Since then, Sterling has been back in Pep Guardiola’s side on a more regular basis, with suggestions of a possible exit having quietened over recent months as he has returned to form.
A report from The Athletic though has suggested the 27-year-old was open to joining Barcelona on loan during the January transfer window.
