Zack Sharf Digital News Director Rachel Brosnahan spoke to Variety On the Carpet presented by DIRECTV at the 2024 SAG Awards about gearing up to start filming James Gunn’s “Superman: Legacy,” in which she’s taking on the role of Lois Lane.

The filmmaker posted the first cast photo last week after a table read of the script, and then Warner Bros. execs confirmed filming would officially begin next week. “It was pretty amazing,” Brosnahan told Variety’s Angelique Jackson about the “Superman” table read. “Some of us met for the first time.

Some of us got to see each other again. It was amazing to hear the script out loud. As with all of these films, there’s a lot of action sequences and things.

So to hear the pacing of the film and to get to hear these characters occupied by the actors who play them is really fun. It’s also a great group.
