Charles Ingram
Charles William Ingram (born 6 August 1963) is an English novelist, computer repairman, and former British Army major who became known for being accused and convicted of cheating on the television game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? in 2001, after winning the maximum prize of one million pounds. Following a lengthy trial at Southwark Crown Court, he was convicted on a single count of procuring the execution of a valuable security by deception. He was convicted of an unrelated insurance fraud in 2003, and ordered to resign his commission as a major by the Army Board.

Some Quiz viewers were left feeling let down by tonight's dramatic final episode which showed the court case involving Charles Ingram unfold.

The hit ITV series follows Ingram's infamous coughing scandal that saw him win £1 million on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? before losing it in spectacular fashion.

But despite the stellar acting and cast of the hit series, many fans weren't too pleased with how ITV went about in portraying Charles and his wife.

Some fans even went as far as to say a 'pro Ingrams' portrayal spoiled the show for them, while others fumed at the series for making them change their mind on whether or not the Ingram's were guilty.
