Quiver Distribution Buys Music Drama ‘Off the Record’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Brent Lang Executive Editor Quiver Distribution has acquired the North American rights to “Off the Record,” a drama that written and directed by stuntwoman turned filmmaker Kirsten Foe.

The film stars Rainey Qualley (“Mad Men“) and Ryan Hansen (“Veronica Mars”). It follows Astor Grey, a rising singer-songwriter whose life takes a dark turn when she enters a turbulent romance with washed-up rock star Brandyn Verge.

What begins as a whirlwind love story becomes a darker look at manipulation and resilience. The ensemble also includes Rebecca De Mornay, Olivia Sui, Julia Campbell, and Will Peltz.

There are also cameos by Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Peyton Manning, and Edgerrin James. “We are thrilled to bring ‘Off the Record’ to audiences,” said Quiver Distribution Co-Presidents Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman. “While set in the music industry, the film’s message transcends boundaries, echoing diverse experiences across every field and background.” Executive produced by Jim Irsay, owner of the Indianapolis Colts, the film was produced by Foe alongside Gabe Rodriguez under their True Foe Productions banner.
