Queen ‘watches telly’ at Windsor, but ‘there’s still lots of work to do’, says expert

Since the death of Prince Philip, Her Majesty the Queen has spent much of her time inside the peaceful walls of Windsor Castle.

Our monarch’s absence from this month’s Commonwealth Service sparked worry among royal followers, and one insider claims she’s spending much more time in a wheelchair behind closed doors.The Queen has vowed to be devoted in service, but what does her daily life look like out of the public eye?

According to Robert Hardman, author of Queen of our Times: The Life of Elizabeth II, she’s enjoying a less stressful routine including telly, but there’s still work to be done.

Robert tells OK! : “She’s relaxing a bit more now, and I’m quite sure she enjoys watching telly - especially the horse racing at Cheltenham Festival last week. “No one is going to allow her to get overloaded, but there’s still a lot of work to do.” Prince Charles and Camilla have stepped up to represent the crown at recent public events while Her Majesty rests.
