The Queen bid a final farewell to her beloved husband Prince Philip at his funeral in the grounds of Windsor Castle on Saturday.

And the widowed monarch, who will turn 95 this week, made six subtle tributes to her late husband as she said goodbye in a very public way after 73 years of marriage. These included private mementoes understood to have been held in her handbag during the service which, like all her bags, was designed by British brand Launer.

Queen Elizabeth regularly carries precious items in her handbag during royal events. But none more heartfelt than the ones she chose for her husband’s funeral.
