Eight of the Queen’s grandchildren, including Prince William and Prince Harry will stand vigil beside her coffin in Westminster Hall for 15 minutes on Saturday night, royal sources have confirmed.

The Prince of Wales, 40, will stand at the head, with the Duke of Sussex, 38, at the foot. At King Charles' request, they will both be in uniform, after Harry was given special permission to wear his military uniform for the occasion.

The Queen's other grandchildren will be in morning suits and dark formal dresses with decorations as they stand vigil beside their beloved late grandmother's coffin.

Prince William's wife Kate Middleton, 40, and Harry's wife Meghan Markle, 41, are not expected to attend. Prince William will be flanked by his cousins Zara Tindall, 41, and Peter Philips, 44, who are the daughter and son of the Princess Anne, known as the Princess Royal, 72.
