The Queen’s decision to strip her son, Prince Andrew, of his HRH and military titles was a “final gesture of self-sacrifice”, a new Royal documentary claims.

The Duke of York was accused of sexual abuse by Virginia Giuffre and a legal battle involving the Royal’s connection to the late Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell ensued.

While denying any wrongdoing, Andrew settled the case outside of court with the bill widely reported to have been picked up by the Queen.

As Andrew faced the accusations – and, at one point, the possibility of a trial – Queen Elizabeth II stripped her son of the right to use all titles, forcing him to take a backseat in Royal life.
