Queen of the South captain Josh Todd believes Saturday’s 4–1 victory over Peterhead gives their league campaign a whole new outlook.The Palmerston side picked up their first win in League One with a comfortable performance and, coming on the back of draws against Montrose and Airdrie, it means they are unbeaten in three.Todd, who was Queens’ first goal-scorer at Balmoor, said the result was long overdue.He said: “Perception is everything and that looks a lot better.“Today we got the four goals that we thought we could get in this league and it means the two draws don’t look bad.“One was against Airdrie when we could’ve nicked it and the game before but the three points really changes the perspective of the players, team and fans as well.”He added: “I think it was coming.“Obviously we’ve had some bad spells in games but I feel the latter stages in the past two games have been enough to grab the win.

We’ve not had one of those games where you grab a few goals and everyone feels confident and moving it well. I think we had that today and it was a comfortable time in the end.” Queens had to come from behind to secure the victory after the home side took an early lead and scored twice before the break to flip the tie.

Todd said: “Fair play to them they got a decent goal early on and then we had a shake down on the pitch and got to grips with it and went in at half time and really sorted it out and they didn’t cause problems after that.“We were moving the ball nicely on a good park.
