The Queen is said to be taking “comfort” from her work during the “most difficult time of her reign” according a royal expert.
Speaking exclusively to OK!, Katie Nicholl tells us that the Queen’s royal duties have kept her busy and “young and fit” following the death of her beloved husband Prince Philip earlier this year.
She said: “She finds comfort in her job, she enjoys the job, and it keeps her young and fit. “But of course, behind the scenes, in private, it’s probably been the hardest time of her reign.
She’s always had Philip by her side.” Katie, author of The Making of a Royal Romance, adds that Philip, who was aged 99 when he passed away in April, was “everything” to the 95 year old.
