The Queen was seen smiling as she received a kind gift of a rare horse from the President of Azerbaijan during another surprise appearance from the monarch.
Her Majesty, 96, looked delighted as she was presented with a Karabakh horse outside Windsor Castle during her meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, along with two sculptures of the rare hose. The Queen said the present was a “very kind, very generous” gesture as she was filmed inspecting the beautiful animal.
It’s no surprise that the gifts went down well as the monarch has had a love for horses her whole life and has owned several since she was a young woman.
