Jeannette Charles, the renowned Queen Elizabeth II lookalike who starred in Naked Gun and Austin Powers, has passed away at 96 in a care home in Great Beddow, Essex, on Sunday, with her family by her side.
In a striking coincidence, she reached the same age as the Queen herself. Her journey as the late Queen's doppelganger began in 1971 when she was told her resemblance to the monarch could be a "money-spinner".
She went on to have a successful and flourishing career in TV and film that lasted until 2014 and was celebrated as one of the top impersonators in showbiz.
Amidst heartfelt tributes, her daughter Carol Christophi shared a poignant statement that said: "Mum was a real character and a force of nature.
