Queen Camilla has shared some delightful news – she's expanded her Royal brood with an adorable rescue puppy! On her visit to Canterbury today, where she unveiled a life-size bronze statue of the celebrated writer Aphra Behn, Camilla also popped into the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge.The visit was a nod to the city's rich cultural heritage and literary zest.

During her tour, she encountered a guide dog and couldn't resist showing some love, commenting on the breed's loving nature.

As she crouched down to pet Fergie the Labrador, Queen Camilla gushed about her own new furry friend, revealing, "I've just got a new puppy, he's eight-weeks old," to the pup's owner Susan Mason, 66, who is partially sighted.

Curious about the breed, Ms Mason inquired, prompting the Queen to chuckle and say: "You may well ask, a bit of everything. It's a rescue dog.
