Pupils put into 'isolation' as school said 'trousers were too short and too tight'

A father says he is furious after his daughter was put into isolation because her trousers were "too tight" and "exposed her ankle".The girl was wearing the school trousers with loafer shoes and ankle trainer socks which her dad says, did not expose any part of her legs or ankles, as per the school policy.The dad says he sent the teenager into Scott Medical and Healthcare College in Plymouth, Devon last week however she called him saying she and some other girls had been placed in isolation over their clothing.The school has stated that all students must present themselves in the correct uniform in-line with school policies.

The school has offered pupils a £20 voucher to purchase new trousers that were of suitable fit and length, PlymouthLive reports.

But the fuming dad has slammed the school for the policy, and claims that the trousers the school offered to his daughter were worse than her own - claiming they were "pornographic" and even tighter around the crotch.The issues arose when, following the Christmas break the girl returned to school and was immediately warned along with other girls, that her trousers were too short.The dad told Plymouth Live: "The school before the Christmas break sent out an email stating the policy and after Christmas there will be a drive that all trousers are in line with the policy and if you can get trousers in the sale, then get them in the sale."I have always bought my children's in September, which will last them that school year, unless it rips or tears, then I will buy a new set for the following year - I’m not made of money."We bought my daughter two pairs of trousers in September and they touched her shoes, as it stated.
