Many youngsters will not return to school until September now because of the rules still in place ordering close contacts of anyone testing positive to isolate for 10 days.

It's something the government is scrapping next month, but the change will come too late for thousands of children across Greater Manchester still being impacted by bubble closures.

Among them are some Year 7 pupils from Wright Robinson College in Gorton, who now won't return to school until the new academic year in September. READ MORE:
