City started the day 14 points clear of Manchester United at the top of the table. They bounced back from last weekend's derby defeat to United in emphatic style with a 5-2 victory over Southampton at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Fulham, meanwhile, are currently third from bottom but only inside the drop zone on goal difference. Scott Parker's men are level on points with fourth-bottom Brighton and two behind Newcastle.
