Pubs to stay open two hours later over Queen’s Jubilee bank holiday

The government has confirmed that pubs will be able to stay open two hours later over the Queen's Platinum Jubilee weekend. Your local is licenced to serve drinks until late to commemorate HRH's 70 years on the throne.

Over the long Bank Holiday in June, the nation has an additional two days off work which is definitely a reason to party.This is why the government has taken the decision to give pubs licence to sell drinks until 1am over the long weekend.The four-day bank holiday weekend falls on Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June 2022.The extension will also apply to premises’ entertainment licences which allow for live music.

Most have licences that allow them to serve until 11pm unless the rules are temporarily relaxed. Home Office minister Kit Malthouse said it would allow revellers to "celebrate the longest-reigning monarch in the United Kingdom".
