Public given chance to name new public park at Ravenscraig

Apple - Android Local Labour councillor Kenneth Duffy told Lanarkshire Live: “I’m delighted we’re nearing the first stage of completion for the new park at Ravenscraig.“The soft opening for June is firmly on track and we now have the difficult task of choosing the name for the park.“In the absence of an established process for naming parks, in late 2019 we asked local schools to provide suggestions from which we’d make a selection.“Following the names provided the council have narrowed down to three choices for the park and three for the play area within the park.“This gave an opportunity to reflect the play area itself which is large but also to reflect the wide range of suggested names.”Don't miss a thing from your area - sign up for the.
