New details have been revealed of the proposed M74 West windfarm development ahead of an initial public consultation event taking place early next month.
It would consist of 24 200-metre turbines installed over 1450 hectares on either side of the motorway, located immediately northwest of Abington services and three kilometres from the village itself.Developers say it could power more than 171,000 homes, with the turbines plus solar panels generating around 240 megawatts of power.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
