A diner has been blasted online for promoting a “special deal“ where a pie and a pint costs “only £17.” A photo of the advertising sign was posted online to Reddit by a shocked passerby with the tongue-in-cheek caption “only...”, to the disgust of other patrons.
The sign, which is thought to have been spotted in London, featured spirited drawings of a pie and a pint, and details of the deal, which only lasts two days per week, reports Daily Star.
The pie and pint offer runs only on Monday and Tuesday, which was concerning for some commenters who said they were fearful of “the price from Wednesday on.” “Pie and pint only £17 Mon-Tue,” the sign reads, reports Mirror Online.
