Paris Saint-Germain want to sign Marcus Rashford as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe and have already 'opened talks' with the Manchester United forward - according to reports.

Having undergone shoulder surgery last summer, Rashford started the season with two goals in three early-season outings, but then went 11 games without scoring.

The 24-year-old has since returned to form with two goals in his last two matches. On both of those occasions, though, Rashford had to settle for a place on the United bench as Mason Greenwood and Sweden teenager Anthony Elanga were preferred by Ralf Rangnick in attacking quarters.

United also have Jadon Sancho, Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo to call upon in those positions. Over in the French capital, meanwhile, big-spending PSG signed Barcelona great Lionel Messi last summer but, on account of Mbappe being heavily linked to Real Madrid, key figures at the Ligue 1 side also made contract with the England international.
