A protester scaled a Salford Quays bridge during a huge demonstration attended by thousands. Scores of people descended on MediaCityUK to protest the BBC's coverage of events in Gaza.
The demonstration on Saturday afternoon (October 21) marked two weeks since Hamas launched a deadly attack on Israel killing more than 1,400 people.
Organisers Manchester Palestine Solidarity Campaign have accused the BBC of 'spreading false narrative and lies' and 'dehumanising Palestinians' during their reporting on the ongoing conflict.
The BBC has responded at length to criticisms of its coverage, including that the corporation should use the word 'terrorist' to describe Hamas.
