ITV stars, who are said to be household names in the UK, contacted their lawyers after pictures and intimate videos of the couple were shared via direct messages from an unknown social media account.
The pictures and videos were supposedly posted online but eventually removed by their lawyers over three weeks later.Of the celebrity couple, a source told The Sun: "They would have been mortified by the leak."Their fans will have been horrified on their behalf to think their private content was online for anyone to see."By moving quickly and having it removed they have done the right thing."The celebrities in question have starred in some of the UK's leading TV shows, though it has yet to be ascertained whether the alleged leak of the videos and pictures has been reported to police authorities by the couple.In 2015, new legislation was introduced in England and Wales to deal with the escalating trend of revenge porn.
