Producer Reveals the Ariana Grande Song That Almost Went to Beyonce!

Knowing that, we were still surprised to learn that one of Ariana‘s songs was initially written with Beyonce in mind! Babyface, the producer and songwriter who worked on the song, opened up about the history behind the number and explained how far along it got with Bey before she passed on it.
The acclaimed musician also looked back on his earliest days working with Ari and one thing that she was adamant about always wanting to do. It was included on Ariana‘s debut album Yours Truly. “One of the songs we did, ‘Baby I,’ was actually written for Beyoncé,” Babyface told GQ.
