Chris Hemsworth

Christopher Hemsworth (born 11 August 1983) is an Australian actor. He rose to prominence playing Kim Hyde in the Australian TV series Home and Away (2004–07) before beginning a film career in Hollywood by taking on parts in the science fiction film Star Trek (2009) and the thriller A Perfect Getaway (2009).

Hemsworth went on to star in the fantasy film Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), the war film Red Dawn (2012), the action thriller Blackhat (2015), the biographical thriller In the Heart of the Sea (2015), the comedy Ghostbusters (2016), and the Men in Black film series spin-off Men in Black: International (2019). His most critically acclaimed roles include the comedy horror The Cabin in the Woods (2012) and the biographical sports film Rush (2013), in which he portrayed James Hunt.

The death of a cruel foster carer who subjected Scots kids to sickening abuse is being investigated.Sandra Harper avoided jail last year after she and her husband Andrew were convicted of physically and emotionally abusing five kids at their house in Cairnbulg, near Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.The 63-year-old, who forced one child to eat their own vomit and poured soap into their mouth, was in the process of appealing her conviction when she is understood to have suffered a fall at home just days before Christmas.She later died in hospital as a result of her injuries, which were described by a source as “catastrophic”.A Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service spokesman said: “The Procurator Fiscal has received a report in connection with the death of a 63-year-old woman in Aberdeen on December 30, 2023.“The investigation into the death is ongoing and the family will continue to be kept updated in relation to any significant developments.”The Harpers, who took in dozens of youngsters during their career, inflicted a catalogue of abuse on five children under the noses of social workers between 1985 and 2002 - with the majority of the crimes being carried out by Sandra.They were collectively found guilty of 10 charges after a trial at Peterhead Sheriff Court in September.Sandra Harper repeatedly struck one boy on the head and body from the age of five, repeatedly rubbing his face in urine-soaked bedding and pushing him, causing him to hit his head on a wardrobe.She repeatedly shouted, swore and uttered threats and offensive remarks at the boy over a period of 14 years.Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today.You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as the top
