The White Tiger director Ramin Bahrani recently was subjected to a racist taunt and his film's executive producers Jonas and Ava DuVernay are speaking up.
The incident occurred last week when Bahrani was directing a pilot for Apple TV in Atlanta and was scheduled to do a Zoom Q&A with Ava DuVernay.
Revealing that he had to the interview while he was on the street, Bahrani told People, "During the interview, I noticed a car parked behind me.
When the driver saw me and my colleague (who is South Asian) he said, 'You all think you run the world. You all don't run s---.' His friend told him to calm down and leave it alone.
