Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank are reportedly planning a return to the UK following her revitalised role within the Royal Family.
It comes after Eugenie "felt she had to get away" after feeling "abandoned" by the Royal Family due to the negative press surrounding her parents.
Now, feeling "rather homesick" and picking up more responsibility, the couple are ready to return from Portugal. “Eugenie won’t be able to fulfil her roles if she spends so much time abroad,” a source told OK! “So, she’s decided to spend more and more time in the UK, slowly transitioning to a permanent move back.” OK!
recently revealed how King Charles’ slimmed-down monarchy was now so thin that there weren’t enough royals to go around, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were being lined up for a number of engagements to help. “There are plans to increase her roles with the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and other worthy charities,” the source said. “Official royal engagements are also being discussed where she will step in for senior royals if they are unable to attend.” Eugenie’s increased involvement with the Royal Family has already started to show as just last week, the princess interviewed former Prime Minister Theresa May for her Floodlights podcast run by her Anti-Slavery Collective and has made visits to schools to talk about the initiative. “It’s where the princess feels most at home,” the source said. “Getting involved with worthy causes and acting as an ambassador for her family is what she does best.
