Journalist Richard Kay, a firm friend of the late Princess of Wales, revealed that police told him he was the last person she called on the tragic night in 1997, as he opened up about how she seemed to be in a “good place” and looking to the future.
Speaking as part of the upcoming ITV documentary, Diana, Richard also says that she was desperately looking forward to coming home so that she could be reunited with her young sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.
