James Middleton has branded Prince William a "fantastic support" after opening up about his sister, the Princess of Wales, marrying the future King.
James, 37, has revealed how he felt after being thrust into the spotlight in the early days of Kate and William's relationship, which began after they met while studying at university.
He admitted he felt "pressure" at the time, as he was in a "vulnerable state of mind". However, James credits William, 42, for trying to "protect" the Middletons from the difficulties of finding fame overnight.
James told The Sunday Times: "William was a fantastic support for us as a family. He did everything he could to protect us from the intense interest, not just in Catherine, but also her immediate family.
