Additionally, Meghan sported a diamond cross necklace that was rumoured to have once belonged to Diana, although this claim has been met with scepticism from someone close to the late princess, who "didn't recognise [the necklace] at all." Allegedly, the parallels drawn with Diana have irked William, who is said to be "bothered" by the portrayal of Meghan as a modern-day Diana, according to an insider.
