Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, visit the Fitzwilliam Museum to view their royal portrait on Thursday (June 23) in Cambridge, England.
This is the first official joint portrait of the royal couple together, and it is housed in their namesake region of Cambridgeshire, which is a county in the City of Cambridge.
The pair received their “Cambridge” titles on their wedding day in April 2011. Click inside to read more… The portrait was painted by award-winning British portrait artist Jamie Coreth. “It has been the most extraordinary privilege of my life to be chosen to paint this picture,” Jamie said in a statement. “I wanted to show Their Royal Highnesses in a manner where they appeared both relaxed and approachable, as well as elegant and dignified.” Later that day, the pair visited East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice in Milton to meet with some of the children and employees of the facility.
