Prince William halts half-term break with George, Charlotte and Louis for important reason

Prince William took a moment from his family's half-term holiday to send a touching message to former racing driver Billy Monger, who has just set a new world record at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

Billy, who had both legs amputated after a tragic crash in 2017, completed the gruelling 226.3km (140.6 miles) course in an astonishing 14 hours 23 minutes 56 seconds.This mean that he became the fastest double amputee to compete at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, beating the previous record by over two hours.

After making history, the 25 year old shared his disbelief on social media. "14:23:56 - I can't believe what just happened, World Championship Record Broken.

I am offically(sic) an IRONMAN. Let's goooooo," he wrote. In response, Prince William tweeted his admiration. "Well done Billy, inspirational effort.
