Prince William has revealed the amusing guidance his son Prince Louis offered to the England squad ahead of Euro 2024.The future king, who holds the title of FA president, made his way to St George's Park in Burton-upon-Trent this morning to extend his best wishes to the team before they jet off to Germany for the competition later today.During his visit, William engaged in conversation with manager Gareth Southgate and presented the players with their individual squad number shirts in anticipation of their opening match against Serbia on Sunday evening.
The Prince of Wales exchanged pleasantries with Southgate, noting that in just "in a few hours" the team would be "getting ready to go" to Germany, the Mirror reports.He also took the chance to motivate the players with a pep talk, during which he imparted the sage advice from young Louis.
William recounted: "Guys, while I was on the way here, I was thinking what shall I say. And I thought what can I offer as you are all an experienced team here with Gareth and I was thinking what could I say to help before you went away?"And I was on the school run this morning with the children and I said 'what shall I say to the England team today'.
The best bit of advice I got was to eat twice the amount you would normally eat. "And I now have visions of all of you running around with massive tummies and getting stitches on the pitch.
