Prince Harry has had his profile on the official Royal Family website updated to remove his HRH title. The Duke of Sussex's profile has been updated to reflect the change in his status after stepping down as a senior working royal in 2020 alongside wife Meghan Markle.
The website still makes some references to Queen Elizabeth II being the current monarch, and at times calls now-King Charles III 'the Prince of Wales' and Queen Camilla 'the Duchess of Cornwall'.
Buckingham Palace said there are over five thousand pages on the site and these are having to be "revisited and updated periodically", particularly in light of the death of Queen Elizabeth II last September.
The Mirror reports that a spokesperson added: "Some content may be out of date until this process is complete.” The site still referred to Prince Harry by his HRH title until the error was corrected after the weekend, despite an official statement from January 18 2020 stating: “The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family.”Harry's position on the page has also been moved down and falls below other working members of the Firm.
