Prince William and Kate Middleton have been on a private Island getaway with their children for the summer break, according to reports. After an extremely busy year attending more official engagements, tours and public appearances than ever, the family-of-five are said to be scaling back on work duties and the limelight to spend quality time together during the six weeks holiday. It's believed the couple took Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to Tresco, part of the Isles of Scilly, for their sunny UK staycation for the third year running.

Princess Charlotte is already getting into the swing of her royal duties.Kate Middleton and Prince William's only daughter made a surprise appearance at the 2022 Commonwealth Games on Tuesday alongside her royal parents, marking the first time she has joined them for a public engagement without either of her two brothers. Sporting a striped black-and-white dress with a Peter Pan collar, the youngster was hard to miss sitting with her parents in the stands of the Sandwell Aquatics Centre for the swimming competition. The princess seemingly enjoyed her day out as she was photographed smiling with her mom, reacting to the competition and giving her dad an enthusiastic thumbs up. Some very special guests are in attendance today. A warm welcome to Birmingham, @KensingtonRoyal!#B2022pic.twitter.com/MQSNB47B37In addition to the swimming, Charlotte also joined her parents for a visit to SportsAid House, for which the Duchess of Cambridge serves as patron. The pint-sized royal shook hands with SportsAid CEO Tim Lawler and sat in a meeting with athletes at the house.  While Charlotte and her siblings don't typically join their parents for daily public engagements, the older two did make appearances at Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee events in June and for the Service of Thanksgiving held in March in honor of their late great-grandfather, Prince Philip. Just days ago, she joined her dad in a video message shared on social media for England's women's national football team, the Lionesses.

Before they were mom and dad or the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate were young adults who liked to party. In a viral TikTok, old photos of the two surfaced during their courting years, where Prince William and Kate Middleton are seen dancing the night away in clubs, crawling into taxi cars, and having fun.  The TikTok mash-up has already amassed more than half a million likes, and has thousands of comments.

Prince William is a keen football fan and headed to Wembley on Sunday to show his support for the England women's football team – also known as the Lionesses – in their bid for victory against Germany in the Euros. The dad-of-three delighted fans earlier in the day when he released a video alongside his daughter, Princess Charlotte, as they shared their excitement about the match. Express.co.uk reported that the book is being ghostwritten by novelist and journalist JR Moehringer, who also ghostwrote the autobiography of former world No 1.
