Prince William and King Charles have grown closer following Prince Harry's Royal departure, insiders claim. His Majesty, at the age of 75, reportedly considers his firstborn as a "useful ally" in navigating daily Royal challenges ever since he ascended to the throne. These include managing the fallout from Prince Harry's explosive TV interviews and memoir, 'Spare'.

Plus, Charles has become an instrumental figure stepping up for his father while he undergoes treatment for cancer. Previously, it was rumoured that the widespread media focus on William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, may have triggered feelings of frustration, even jealousy, in Charles - leading to some comparing the situation to a "green-eyed monster".

However, insiders strongly debunk this now. As one source explained to The Times: "If there ever was a green-eyed monster or a sense of rivalry between the two, that's a chapter of the past. The King sees his son as a useful ally on family matters and increasingly in discharging the duties of nation and state." Further adding to this, an insider close to William disclosed to the same publication that the Prince of Wales "wants to support his father", particularly during this challenging period with "everything the King is going through with his treatment".

Recently, King Charles and Prince William were seen working together at the D-Day commemorations in Normandy. Despite undergoing cancer treatment, King Charles delivered a moving speech praising the veterans of the Second World War.
