A grieving Prince Harry was seen putting on a brave face as he made the journey back to London from Balmoral following the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The Duke of Sussex, 37, left the Queen's Scottish estate just over 12 hours after arriving in a sadly failed bid to say goodbye to his late grandmother alongside father King Charles III and other Royal Family members.

On Friday, grieving Harry was seen attempting to comfort an Aberdeen Airport worker, selflessly wrapping an arm around her as they talked before he boarded his plane.

He took a British Airways flight which landed at London Heathrow Airport at 11:32am. Harry was the last royal to arrive Balmoral on Thursday night, heartbreakingly arriving shortly after the monarch's death was publicly announced.
