Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's neighbour has opened up on the moment he claims he was "snubbed" outside their mansion. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to Montecito, California, after stepping down as senior working royals in 2020.
The couple live in their lavish mansion with their two children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Frank McGinity, 88, recalled the moment he was reportedly ignored by the Sussexes and their team as he tried to share a sweet neighbourly gesture with the couple.Navy veteran Frank attempted to introduce himself to the couple and deliver a gift to the royals upon their move to the area but was turned away at the gate.
In a chapter of his memoir, Get Off Your Street, he wrote: "I have a big house next to Harry and Meghan’s property and I live in the guest house while renting the main house out on Airbnb."He continued: "Harry and Meghan live on old McCormick property and I went up to their gate with the films on a CD, but they weren’t interested." Frank added that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's security guard turned him away outside the gates of the property.
He wrote: "The gate guy turned me away and wouldn’t take the film, just saying ‘they’re not interested.’ I was trying to be neighbourly." He continued: "We don’t see them very much around here.
