mirror.co.ukPrince Harry and Meghan held a secret meeting with a top US Democrat before the US election, it has emerged. The couple are said to have spent an hour on a video call with Governor of the state, Gavin Newsom, on October 19 last year.
Mr Newsom, 54, was once widely considered to be a White House frontrunner and was being pressed at the time of the call to replace Kamala Harris former position as California Senator with another black woman, the Sun on Sunday reports.
According to a memo seen by the paper, the video link-up came shortly after California-based couple were criticised for getting involved in the presidential election debate.
