Prince George's godmother, Julia Samuel, has been injured in a skiing accident during a family holiday to Courchevel in the French Alps.
Julia, a distinguished psychotherapist who was a close friend of Diana, Princess of Wales, has been a source of enormous strength for the Wales family over the years and was made one of Prince George's godmothers in 2013.
Speaking to Richard Eden at the Daily Mail for Eden Confidential, Julia revealed the shocking news, saying: "The first morning of my holiday, I fell over nothing and busted my shoulder.
I've got ten pins in it and I can't really move." Never one to let anything stand in her way, Julia, whose son, Ben, was the godchild of Diana, Princess of Wales, is not going to let her injury get her down. "My broken shoulder is called 'Trudy'", Julia told the paper. "All the family give our injuries alter egos so we can talk about them freely." As well as her special honour in 2013, Julia has maintained a close bond with Prince William - a relationship which saw him become the Royal Patron of Child Bereavement UK, the charity she founded, in 2009.
